Mr. William Wade Green, age 80 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mr. Green was born on March 24, 1937 in Limestone County to Richard and Minnie Holt Green.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter Lee Green and Joseph Green; sister, Jewel Green Madry.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Green; sons, Preston Scott Green (Heather) and Jonathan Wade Green (Anna); grandchildren; Leara Green, Lydia Green, Nicholas Green, Ethan Johnson and Allison Johnson; brothers, James L. Green and Danny Eugene Green; sisters, Dean Wilson and Shirley York; numerous nieces , nephews and other family and friends.
Services for Mr. Green will be at 2:00PM Monday, February 19, 2018 at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Jeff May officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:45 prior to the service. Burial will be in Wallace Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Preston Green, Jonathan Green, Nicholas Green, Ethan Green, Wayne Blankenship and Jimmy Sloan. Honorary pallbearers are James L. Green and Danny Eugene Green.
