On February 6, 2018, Pamela Gail Hellums Groves went to be with our Lord. She died peacefully with family present and beside her. Her celebration of life memorial will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, at Phil Campbell St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with John Humphies officiating. Mrs. Groves was preceded in death by her three brothers, Thayer (Rosemary) Hellums, Sidney (Peggy) Hellums, and John (Vaughn) Hellums; her two sisters, Wanda Depoyster and Mary Ann (Buster) Thornton; and her grandson, Travis West.
She was born in Red Bay, Alabama to Loyle and Geneva Hellums. She went to New Bethel School and Muscle Shoals High School.
Mrs. Groves had four children, Anne (Johnny) Mason, Steve (Pam) Brantley, Alexandria (Zandy) Pounders, and Jason Groves (deceased). She had several grandchildren and two great-grandchildren with one due in May.
She will be missed greatly, but we take comfort in her being with the Lord and at rest. Her work on Earth is done. We, the family, would like to thank the staff of Mitchell Hollingsworth, Cottage of the Shoals, Keller Hospital, and Keller Hospice for their love, care, and support of her.
The address for St. Paul Missionary Baptist is 5017 Hwy 79, Phil Campbell.
