Billy Gene Berryhill, 73, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Visitation will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Ed White officiating. Burial will be in Barton Cemetery.
Billy was a native of Tuscumbia and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He retired as a steel worker from Reynolds and Wise Metals. He was a member of the Church of God and of the United Steel Workers Local 200. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Loyce and Lula Mae Berryhill and his brother, Steven Berryhill.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Martha Ann Berryhill; sons, Thomas Gene Berryhill (Rachel) and Billy Joseph “B.J.” Berryhill (Stephanie); sister, Patricia Garrison (Roger); 4 grandchildren, Hayden, Houston, Harper and Brennon expected in May; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of north Alabama.
