James E. Farris, 79, of Moulton passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 1 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Moulton Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with O.D. Bowling officiating. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memory Gardens with Lawrence Funeral Home assisting the family.
A member of Moulton Church of Christ, Mr. Farris was a former police officer for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Joyce Farris; daughter, Veronica Farris Sparks; grandchildren, Haley McBride (Matt), Jake Farris, Luke Sparks (Ashley), and Keeton Sparks; great granddaughter, Rylee McBride; and sister, Judy Lolley.
Mr. Farris was preceded in death by his son, Mike Farris and his parents, Calvin and Velma Cagle Farris.
Pallbearers will be Jake Farris, Luke Sparks, Keeton Sparks, Matt McBride, Russ Holden and Zack Long. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Colburn, Drew Colburn and Mitch Holden.
