Peggy Joyce Johnsey, age 86, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She fought a 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s; but, in the end cancer moved in and said “it’s time to go.” She fought hard to live as she did in living life.
Her life was full with a family that adored and loved her. Her friends were far and wide. She had a zest for life that kept her moving. Family, friends, travel, and all of her social activities kept her young and alive.
Peggy was born in 1931 in Michie, Tennessee to Julian and Mattie Bolding and was the youngest of four children. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 64 years, Harry, and her children, Sherry, and Tim (Kyoung) and grandson Richard.
A celebration of Peggy’s life has been scheduled with visitation Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. The service at Berryhill Funeral Home will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Ben Winslet. Graveside service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Michie Primitive Baptist Church in Michie, Tennessee.
