Mary Evelyn Haney, 87 of Union Grove, the Morgan City community, died Monday January 22, 2018 at Whitesburg Gardens in Huntsville.
Mrs. Haney was born February 11, 1930 in Humbolt Tennessee to Walter Scott Tate and Lula Artilda West Tate. She was a home maker. Her husband Walter C. Haney preceded her in death November 14, 1999. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, going to the senior center and loved her flowers and garden. She loved her church and was a very devoted member.
She was a member of Morgan City Church of God.
Mrs. Haney is survived by her children and in-laws: Steve Haney and Ann and Sandra Steadham and Billy; her grandchildren: Tammy Gullion and Andy, Darren Steadham and Frances, Kyle Haney and Alisha, Kayla Harper and Chris and ten great grandchildren and two brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband: Walter C. Haney.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday January 24, 2018 at Morgan City Church of God with Brother: Roland Cornwell, officiating. Burial will be in Rescue Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Haney, Darren Steadham, Avery Steadham, Patrick Watkins, Andy Gullion, Riley Gullion and Wyatt Gullion.
Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Morgan City Church of God.
