Martha Louise Gandy Winstead, 81, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at UAB in Birmingham. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends today from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, Alabama. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be at Belgreen Cemetery. Officiating will be Johnny Richardson and Andy Cansler.
Survivors include sons, Danny Winstead and Wes Winstead (Melissa); daughters, Debbie Cansler (Andy) and Kathy Simmons (Randal); 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Nadine Balentine; and one brother, Kenneth Gandy. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.
Mrs. Winstead was preceded in death by her husband, George D Winstead; parents, Walter and Maebelle Gandy; and one grandson, Andrew Cansler; and sisters, Ella Hargett, Doris Blackburn, and Betty Fuller.
