Terry Dickson, age 75, a native of Florence, Alabama and a resident of Elberta, Alabama, passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018. Mr. Dickson lived in many states and especially enjoyed the years living in the west and northwest before he and his wife, Barbara, retired in Elberta, Alabama. He was an avid reader and always seemed to have projects “going.” As an outdoorsman, Terry hunted, enjoyed fishing (trout and bass), and loved to shoot trap and skeet. He also loved animals, his favorite hunting dogs, and in recent years he took a fondness to cats.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Barbara Dickson, of Elberta, Alabama; children, Terri Lynn (Jim) Allen, of Dallas, Texas, Tara Leigh Dickson, of Corsicana, Texas, Courtney Dickson, of Amarillo, Texas, Ron (Meleanie) Wadkins Jr., of Milton, Florida, Patrick Wadkins, of Atlanta, Georgia, and Brian (Megan) Wadkins, of Lititz, Pennsylvania; brother, William Jerry Dickson, of Evans, Georgia; and eight grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2018, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home. A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at 11 a.m. from the Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence, Alabama. A visitation will also be held Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Elkins Funeral Home in Florence, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saad’s Hospice, 1515 S. University Blvd., Mobile, AL 36609 or Baldwin County Humane Society, 306 Magnolia Ave., Fairhope, AL 36532. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home, Robertsdale, Alabama (mackfuneral.com).
