Edith Ann Beumer Buffer, age 85, passed away Jan. 2, 2018. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 5, from 2-3 p.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in St. Florian. The Mass of Christian burial will follow at 3 p.m. in the church with Rev. John O’Donnell, OSB officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery.
Edith was a member of St. Michael’s Church and was active with the Greenhill Senior Center. She was a loving person to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jacob “Jackie” Buffler; parents, Henry and Agnes Beumer; sisters, Agnes, Henrietta, and Clarissa; and brothers, John and Joseph.
Survivors include her nephew, Larry Meyer; sister-in-law, Jane Ross; great-niece, Laurie Meyer Perkins; and special caregivers, Barbara Oliver and Donna Taylor.
God looked down on you Tuesday and saw that you were tired. He put his arms around you and lifted you up to rest. He knew that you would never be well on Earth again. He saw the roads were getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he picked you to see the beautiful garden.
