Barbara Niblett Little passed to her Heavenly home on December 31, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. Barbara was born November 17, 1933, in Ecru to Lewis Niblett and Ola Nichols Niblett. Growing up, Barbara attended Ecru school where she was Valedictorian of her class, and was a member of the All-Star girl’s basketball team, which won the state championship.

Professionally, she spent over 40 years as a nurse and, for a time, owned a day care center in Verona. In her spare time, she was a traveler, an avid gardener, enjoyed reading, and loved her pets.   Always willing to care for others, Barbara was loved by many and will be missed.  In a final act of caring, Barbara donated her body to science.

She is survived by her brother, Alvis Niblett; daughters, Debbie Little of Memphis, Tenn. , Jackie Patterson of Pontotoc, and Kim Little of Tupelo; sons, Lee Little (Vicki) of Palmetto and Mike Little of Pontotoc; grandchildren, Derrick Little of Tupelo, Angie Sweat of Pontotoc, Jason Sweat of Fairview, Stephanie Taylor (Ray) of Amory, Carly Trimarche of Memphis, Tenn. , Aric Pagett and Lauren Pagett, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Jean Myers; two granddaughters, Kristen Little and Rochelle Lancaster, and son-in-law, Mike Patterson.

Memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Bro. Jody Rock will be officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may be left at www.peguesfuneralhome.com.
