James Everette “Jim” Stevens, Jr. was born to James Everette and Melba Jo Stevenson Stevens in Hartselle, AL.

A 1976 graduate of S.R.Butler High School, Jim worked in the electronic manufacturing industry as a Manufacturing Process Engineer in Huntsville (SCI and Avex), LaGrange, GA (Goody Company), Lewisburg, TN (Teledyne) and Auburn Hills, MI (Jabil Circuits). His accomplishments were recognized internationally.

Jim’s hobby was woodworking. He crafted by hand doll cradles and high chairs, wooden toy trucks, furniture, homes for birds and gifts for many people he loved.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Owen Stevens; daughter and son-in-law Marijo and Ty Braddy; daughter and son-in-law Robbie Leigh and Matthew Dowd; son Jamie Stevens; son Dea Calce and wife Emily; grandchildren Brayden and Sarah Braddy; sisters and brothers-in-law Daronda and Terry Lynn, and Terry and Dave Shollenberger; great-aunt Jack Lennox; and by cousins, nieces, and nephews. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday, January 2nd from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at Monte Sano United Methodist Church with a memorial service following at 3:00.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the HEALS Clinics, a local organization providing health care to children at school-based clinics at www.healsinc.org or 1100 Meridian Street; Huntsville, AL 35801.
