Funeral service for Virginia Raye Shelton Hill, age 81, of Danville, will be Saturday, November 4, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Joe David Bailey and Rev. Stanley Linderman officiating. The family will receive friends for two hours prior to service. Interment will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Hill, who died Thursday, November 2, 2017, at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born April 26, 1936, in Lawrence County, to Homer Martin Shelton and Myrtle Gladys Glenn Shelton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Odis Leonard Hill, Jr., her parents, two brothers, Gilbert Shelton and O’Neal Shelton, and two grandsons, Justin Bryant and Jaxon Wood.
She is survived by one son, Ricky Hill of Danville; three daughters, JoAnn Hill Linderman (Stanley) of Danville, Linda Hill Graves (Richard) of Decatur, and Bonnie Hill Collins (Tommy) of Decatur; one brother, McArthur Shelton of Danville; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
