Janice M. Ryder, age 69, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017. She was born on Jan. 12, 1948 to Henry and Thelma (Slay) Rutledge in Sheffield, Alabama. Jan enjoyed sewing, crocheting, taking care of the pool, and her favorite dogs, Allie and Saban. Jan worked as a truck driver for Snyder Trucking until 2002.
Survivors include her husband, William Ryder; and her three children, Jana (Danny) Watson, Byron (Marcy) Darby, and Kevin (Kristina) Darby; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two stepchildren, John (Holly) Ryder and Amy (Rodger) Roach.
