Buddy Conley passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at the age of 69. His visitation will be Friday, Oct. 27, 2017, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dwight Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Buddy was retired from law enforcement after 22 years of service having worked for the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office and the Leighton Police Department. He was a Baptist.
Preceding Buddy in death are his first wife, Janis Conley; father, Earl Conley; and brother, Millard Conley.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy Flannagin Conley, of Leighton; mother, Thelma Conley, of Leighton; daughter, Angela Minor, of Leighton; stepsons, Wayne Flannagin and wife, Lisa, of Sheffield, and Steven Flannagin and wife, Teresa, of Ford City; sister, Dian Campbell and husband, Danny, of Leighton; grandson, Caleb Minor, of Leighton; five step-grandchildren; one great-grandson; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Justin Thompson, Matthew Flannagin, Zachary Flannagin, Caleb Minor, Wes Holland, and Johnny Conley.
