James Gray (JG) Ary, 76 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Monday, October 23, 2017, at his home.
Born Wednesday, October 1, 1941 in Hazel Green, Alabama, he was the son of the late William Frank Ary, Sr. and the late Myrtle Sanders Ary. He was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and a retired member of BOBO Volunteer Fire Department. He loved sports and especially loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: William Frank Ary, Jr., Robert Ary, and sisters: Wilton McClure, Pearl Warren, and Dean Stone.
Surviving are his wife: Louise Ary of Ardmore, AL, daughters, Stacey (Jeff) Swaim of Harvest, AL and Felicia (Jeff) Loney of Toney, AL, brother, Jerry Ary of New Market, AL, sisters, Willie Emma Billions of Ardmore, AL, Evelyn Wells of Hazel Green, AL and Barbara Montgomery of TN, grandchildren: Brandon (Micki) Swaim of Harvest, AL, Justin (Briana) Swaim of Ardmore, AL, Ciera Loney of Toney, AL, Kary Loney of Madison, AL, and Halie Loney of Madison, AL, and great-grandchildren: Brock Wheeler, Shea Wheeler, Colten Swaim, Brinlee Swaim, and Harley Cornelius, and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama with Bro. Randy Watts officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
