Walter Wayne Walker, 77, died Friday, October 13, 2017, at the Courtyards Nursing Home after a brief illness. He was born April 8, 1940, in Fulton to Benjamin Odis and Annie Jane Wood Walker. He was a member of the Fulton United Methodist Church. He was a butcher during his working years. He loved watching old movies and was an Elvis fan. He loved sports, especially Ole Miss and the Boston Celtics.

Private Services will be Sunday, October 15, 2017, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Masonic Cemetery.

Survivors include one sister, Faye Gray (Hilman) of Fulton; one brother, Earl Walker of Pontotoc; several nieces and nephews, and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Walker; two sisters, Stella Johnson and Jean Guntharp; two brothers, Bill Walker and Murl Walker; and his parents.

Public visitation will be from noon until 2:00 p. m. Sunday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Fulton.
