Walter Thomas Brown, 89, of Cullman died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2017.
Walter was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Lystra Missionary Baptist Church since he was 16 years old.
He was preceded in death by his son, Phillip Edwin Brown; grandson, Thomas T. Brown; and parents, Noah and Annie Brown.
Walter is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nemridge Brown; daughter, Fonda Beth Coffman; sons, Roger Terrell Brown (Cindy Kam) and Thelbert Eugene Brown; daughter-in-law, Rita Brown; brother, Jimmy Lee Brown (Jan); nine grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Moss Service Funeral Home. The family will celebrate the life of Walter Thomas Brown on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Lystra Missionary Baptist Church. The body will be at the church from 1 to 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Lystra Cemetery.
