William “Billy” Gene Harrison, age 83, of Russellville, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his residence.
Billy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a very special person, who loved his whole family so very much and always made sure they were taken care of. He was loved by everyone who knew him, and will be missed by all.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The burial will follow at Tharptown Cemetery with full military honors.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Myrtie Harrison; brother, Joe Harrison (wife, JoAnn); and brother-in-law, Kenneth Patterson.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 60 years, Mary Louise Harrison; daughter, Kenneatta Harrison; grandchildren, Timothy Dustin Borden (wife, Gabbie), Ethan Eric Borden (Mariah), William Trenton Borden, Randy Brenton Borden (wife, Mary Ann); great-grandchildren, Elijah Dane Borden and Ava Borden; brother, Harold “Red” Harrison (wife, Gen); sisters, Ruby Nell Sumner, Mary Riley (husband, Thomas), Kay Patterson, Barbara Harrison; and a host of nieces & nephews.
The pallbearers will be Timothy Dustin Borden, Ethan Eric Borden, William Trenton Borden, Randy Brenton Borden, Jon Riley, and Tim Hill. The honorary pallbearers will be Darryl Sumner and Jimmy McGuire.
