Mrs. Jo Ann Gray, 81, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at Shoals Hospital. A native of Walker County, Alabama, Mrs. Gray moved to Russellville, Alabama 31 years ago and was a member of First Baptist Church, Russellville. She was retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation where she was an engineering assistant.

Visitation for Mrs. Gray will be Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, from 1-2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with Dr. Kenny Hatcher and Bert Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memory Gardens, Russellville. Mrs. Gray is survived by her daughter, Melissa Thompson and husband, Rex, of Selma, Alabama. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Betty West and Fran Gray, and grandchildren, Allison Thompson, of Auburn, Alabama, and Kimberly Robinson, of Russellville, Alabama. In addition, nieces and nephews survive her, Kim Dunn, Kay Click, David Park Jr., Greg Park, Sharon Skelton, Robert Watson, Jeff Watson, and Terri McClelland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) H. Gray in 2004; her parents, Henry Park and Mamie Park Nix; and stepfather, Melton Nix; daughter, Belinda Cherie Robinson; and son-in-law, Steve Robinson. A sister, Caroline Park, and a brother, David H. Park, also predeceased her.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, is directing.
