Marshall Lee Kinard, 86, passed away Monday, Oct. 9, 2017, at his home. A native of Franklin County, Alabama and a resident all of his life, he retired from Reynolds Alloy and was a member of Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Russellville. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Visitation for Mr. Kinard will be today at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, from 5 until 8 p.m. Services will be on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Oak Grove Freewill Baptist Church, Russellville, with Vernon Hood and Randall Tice officiating. The deceased will lie in state from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Holland, Shawn Johnson, Heath Boyd, Cade Boyd, Drew Boyd, and Chad Whitfield.
Mr. Kinard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Johnnie Sue Kinard; children, Paul Stephen Kinard and wife, Daphanie, and Maye Winnette Kinard; siblings, Marlon Kinard and wife, Judy, and Kay Holland and husband, Stanley; and four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A host of nieces and nephews also survive him.
Preceding him in death were his parents, William John and Effie Mae Kinard; children, Marshall Lee Kinard Jr., Silas Bartholemew Kinard, John Joseph Kinard, and Tommy Lee Kinard; and two sisters, Opalene Kinard and Willie Mae Kinard.
