Barbara Gayle Cochran, 76, of Cherokee, went to be with Jesus on October 8th, 2017. Her visitation will be Wednesday, October 11th, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee. The funeral service will be at Harris Chapel Baptist Church, Cherokee, on Thursday, October 12th, at 11:00 a.m. with Gary Cosby officiating. She will lie-in-state from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Barbara was native of Cherokee and a retired Nanny through the Nanny Institute of Beverly Hills. She was a very giving and generous person with a kindness like no other.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Robert Cochran.
She is survived by her son, Chuck Cochran (Paula); daughters, Sheila Moore, Debby Remkus, and Michelle Roberts; sister, Glen Kiczenski (Jim); 9 grandchildren, Jon Goss (Alison), Blake Cochran, Bryant Shook, DeAnna Kelly, Amanda Crocker, Charlotte Goss, Erica Logan, Ashley Remkus, and Erin Remkus; 12 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jon Goss, Bryant Shook, Austin Kelly, Brett Grisham, Ethan Kelly, Jason Borden, and Joey Thompson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Kendric Thompson and Blake Cochran.
