William Alexander “Alex” Wellman – Obituary

William Alexander “Alex” Wellman, of Russellville, passed away on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the age of 24. His visitation will be Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jim Lumpkin and Bro. Eddie Osborn officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Creek Cemetery.

Alex worked at Pilgrim’s Pride and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Russellville. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vicky and Ronald Jackson and James Lee; uncle, Timothy Jackson; and niece, Aubrie Calhoun. He loved riding motorcycles, playing with his children, nieces, nephews, and listening to his loud music.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kayla Wellman; son, Jaxon Wellman; daughter, SaraLynn Wellman; parents, William and Milissa “Missy” Wellman; grandmother, Sarah Lee; brother, Nicholas “Nick” Parsons; sisters, Samantha Malone (Anthony) and Amber Mullins; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Saint, Nick Parsons, Jason Jackson, Nathan Sheffield, Michael Blackburn, Dustin Cameron, Jerry Franklin, and Brady Blackburn. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Malone, D.J. Fisher, John Romans, Tony “Bones” Jackson, David Smith, Trey Phillips, Casey Lindley, and Stuart Allen.
