Roy Curtis McIntyre, age 91, passed away Aug. 25, 2017, in Florence. Mr. McIntyre was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Huntsville. He was a faithful Sunday school teacher and also served as a lay speaker. He was a Korean War veteran stationed in Germany and also a Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Stacey Tainter McIntyre; parents, Roy Frank and Dallie McIntyre; and brother, Robert McIntyre.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 2, noon-2 p.m., at Grace United Methodist Church in Huntsville where the service will follow at 2 p.m. with Brian Sisson and Larry Anderson officiating. Special music will be provided by J. Phillip and Cheryl Williams. Entombment will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
Survivors include children, Cecelia Hargrove and husband, Andy, Robin Coussons and husband, Russell, Curt McIntyre and wife, Lynn, and Ben McIntyre and wife, Gina; sister, Shirley Presson; and grandchildren, Adrienne and Ben Hargrove, Noah, Sarah Kate, Sydney and Ella Coussons, Curtis, Caleb and Lyndsey McIntyre, and Bailey Drew, Parker and Porter McIntyre.
