Raymond A. Hall, 82, passed away Aug. 21, 2017, at ECM Hospital in Florence, Alabama. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force (serving from 1954-1974), Mr. Hall retired and returned to his hometown of Russellville. He worked locally at U.S. Reduction and 30 years at the Russellville Post Office. He was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved Russellville and the many friends who he had made over the years. He is fondly remembered for his smile, his jovial personality, and for his gift of never meeting a stranger.
Visitation for Mr. Hall will be Thursday evening, Aug. 24, 2017, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Services will be held Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel with Dr. Wade Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Knights of Pythias Cemetery, Russellville. Pallbearers will be grandsons Scott Hall, Michael Hall, Adam Hall, and Bryan Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandsons Colton, Braden, and Austin.
Mr. Hall is survived by his sons, Don (Kathy Dale), Ron (Elke), and Duane (Kathy Kilpatrick); grandchildren, Scott (Ann) Hall, Heather (Steven) Clemmons, Michael (Lori) Hall, Bryan Hall, and Adam (Sara) Hall; great-grandchildren, Carrie Smith, Brooklyn Hall, Colton Sweat, Braden Sweat, Austin Hall, Gabbie Clemmons, and Harper Hall. A sister, Pat McCracken, also survives him.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Nellie Faye Hall in 2005; parents, Russell and Edna Shelton Hall; and brothers, Wayne and Billy Hall.
