Wilma Nadine McAnally, 97 of Union Grove, the Union Hill area, died Thursday August 17, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital.
Mrs. McAnally was born September 1, 1919 in Morgan County to William Washington Owen and Mertie Ardella Braswell Owen. She was a homemaker. Her first husband Marcus Edmondson McAnally preceded her in death on June 13, 1968 and her second husband Era Edmond McAnally preceded her in death on March 4, 1987. She enjoyed attending Church, was a peacemaker and loved preparing meals for her family.
Mrs. McAnally was a member of Morgan City Church of God.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Lamar and Dianne McAnally and Barry and Reba L. McAnally; her daughter: Patsy Holland; step children: Robert McAnally and Faye Reedy; fifteen grandchildren and a host of great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband’s: Marcus McAnally and Era McAnally; a daughter: Betty Jo McAnally; her parents: William and Mertie Owen; her brothers: Hollis Owen, Buddy Owen and David Owen and a sister: Lucille Hornbuckle.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 19, 2017 at Morgan City Church of God with Brothers: Roland Cornwell, Bryant Owen and Jeremy Royster, officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Benjie McAnally, Mark McAnally, Steve McAnally, Dylan McAnally Landon McAnally and Shannon Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Levi McAnally and Russ Dodge.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday August 19, 2017 prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
