Mrs. Lorene Hargrove Brown, age 85, of Decatur, died Sunday July 30, 2017. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 3:00 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Roger Brown officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 3, 2017 1:00 pm to 2:45 pm. at the church. Interment will be at Roselawn Cemetery in Athens.
She was born May 10, 1932 to James Berry Hargrove and Myrtle Steelman Hargrove. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Lee Brown; parents; three brothers; five sisters and one grandson.
She is survived by one son Roger Brown of Decatur; two daughters Carol Sue Harries of Decatur and Dianne Talbert of Utah; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; eight great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Hospice of the Valley.
