David Lynn Duke, 68, passed away Saturday morning, July 29, 2017, at the North Mississippi Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born February 1, 1949, in Houlka to T. D. Duke, Jr., and Lorene Catt Duke. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and had moved to the Mantachie area 37 years ago from Houlka.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Ron Harris officiating.

Survivors include one son, James Duke of Brewer; one daughter, Cheryl R. Graham of Hernando; two sisters, Diane Williams and Angel Baldwin, both of Houlka; and three grandchildren, Courtney Brown, Colton Graham, and Aaliyah Graham.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Elaine Duke, on July 23, 2017; one son, Brian Duke; and his parents.

Visitation will be from noon until service time Wednesday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
