Mr. Buford H. “Mousey” Meeks, 73, passed away Thursday July 13, 2017 at his home with his family at his bedside. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on January 4, 1944 to Buford E. and Nadine Cannon Meeks who preceded him in death along with his sister, Linda Stockwell.
He was a truck driver for Austin Powder before his health declined.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Christine “Tina” Harrison Meeks; son, Dion (Adria) Meeks; daughters, Stacey (Todd) Smith and Tiffany (Alan) Meeks; brothers, Alan “Dino” (Terry) Meeks and Freddie Meeks; sisters, Patricia (Riley) Anderson, Mona (Keith) Tate and Susey Nunley; grandchildren, Logan, Ezra, Kenadee, Tanner, Austyn, Ely, Graycee and Izycc; great grandson, Benton Reece; many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers John Potts and Riley Anderson officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
