Geneva “Jimmie” Norwood, 92, of Somerville who passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 was born on June 24, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Freemon L. Norwood; parents, George and Fannie Blackmon; brothers, Coy Blackmon, Grady Blackmon, T.L. Blackmon and Franklin Blackmon and sister, Clara Roberts.
Survivors include her daughter, Lynda French (Buddy); grandson, Christopher Todd French of Los Angeles; two sisters, Rachel Howland and Polly Bolling.
A graveside service will be Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Cemetery with Reverend Sandra Locke-Godbey officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
