Wayne Mann, 81, died Thursday, June 29, 2017, in Northport, Alabama. He was born in Belmont, Mississippi and was retired from Reynolds Metals where he was a pipe fitter foreman. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
Services will be Sunday, July 2, 2 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, Alabama, with Brother Michael Powell officiating. Burial will be in Halltown Cemetery, Vina, Alabama. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jackie Mann, Tuscaloosa, Alabama; five children, Linda Foley (James), Gary Mann (Sonora) Florence, Alabama, Stan Mann (Terry), Rienzi, Mississippi, Regina Powell (Michael), Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Sharon McCalpin (Shannon), Red Bay, Alabama; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Opal Gray; one brother, Junior Mann (Nadine); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Flurry Cecil Mann and Gladys George Mann; a brother, Billy Joe Mann; and a sister, Eupal Dailey.
Pallbearers will be Klae Mann, Seth Powell, Erik Mann, Chad Hively, Shannon McCalpin, and Grayson Mann.
Visitation will be today, 5-8 p.m., at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama.
