This wonderful surgeon saved me, and many others, from a life of pain. To say he will be missed is vastly understating the obvious. Hearts and prayers to his family and friends.
So sorry to hear about Allen. We graduated from the same high school. Although I haven’t seen him in years, I remember well how sweet a person he was. Praying for Chris, Elinor, kids and the rest of the family.
I cant believe this. He really helped me through knee replacement surgery and I am doing great. He will be missed and his abilities cant be replaced. Rest in Peace Dr Goodson
Such a wonderful man and doctor, always caring for his patents and so friendly to everyone. He has done 5 surgeries for Rodney and me, and I would consider him to be the best doctor there ever was in his field. Always friendly and smiling and taking time to visit with his patients. Many people will surely miss him. They say God always takes the best and He surely did this time.
Dr Goodson was a kind man and a wonderful surgeon. He operated on me twice, as recently as 3 eeeks ago, and has made my life better, as he has done for so many. He will truly be missed. Many good thoughts for his family and friends.

Dr. Goodson was a wonderful surgeon. I will always be grateful to him for replacing my right hip which was riddled with arthritis. With a brand new one!
Dr. Goodson was truly one of a kind. He replaced both of my knees. Rehab workers said I was the first patient they had that walked into the Rehab center after knee replacement in Florence, Al.
He had a special gift of making you feel comfortable. We will miss him dearly. May God bless his family.
My heart is broken at the loss of this kind and gentle man; he was such a pleasure to work with. He was the kind of doctor who, though he and I didn’t work together often, would see you in public and say “let me introduce you to my wife and family.” He will be long and painfully missed by coworkers and patients alike. My prayers will be with his family.
So sorry to hear..Prayers for the family !
So sorry for your loss. Dr. Goodson was a terrific surgeon with a good sense of humor. Both my wife and I were patients.
i was a patient of Dr. Goodson’s. The level of care he provided was second to none. When I went to follow up visits, it was more like visiting a friend than going to a doctor’s appointment. My respect and admiration for Dr. Goodson from brief encounters leaves me in complete disbelief that this wonderful man is gone. I cannot imagine the grief that those who knew him well must be feeling. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
My prayers are truly with the Goodson family he was a good surgeon, he operated on my knee 4 years ago. And he will truly be missed
I admired Dr. Goodson so much. I was his patient and he repaired my shoulder. I had some complications from the anesthesia that left me unable to talk for a while. One day when she was waiting for therapy, he noticed me and came out to the waiting room and sat by me. He asked how I was doing and prayed for me. It meant so much to me. He was a great man and will truly be missed. I pray God will fill that hole in your heart with great memories and his peace. God bless you as you celebrate the life of this wonderful doctor, son, husband, and father. God bless you all and grant you comfort. God bless!
A great surgeon who improved the quality of my life more than I can possibly express. Does anyone know of a charity/Fund he would of liked donations to be made ?
A huge loss for so many people. He replaced both of my knees. Praying for peace for the family.

Dr. Goodson replaced my rt. hip in January 2009, I just heard this afternoon of his passing. We heard he suffered head trauma. I haven’t heard of any other details, except he left the planet rather quickly. Obviously somebody requires his skill somewhere else in the universe we all reside in. May God bless his soul, and Rest in Peace.
I always hear his ads on the radio. Rest In Sweet Peace. Rejoice With Angels…..

I just called to make an appointment with Dr. Goodson. I had no idea. I live in Florence. He did surgery on my rotator cuff and my knee. He was AWESOME! I am so sad and shocked to hear this sad news. I cannot imagine the pain his family, colleagues, and friends have suffered and no doubt continue to. I pray precious memories sustain his beautiful family which he was very proud of. He was a very talented surgeon and a most compassionate individual.
Please accept my deepest condolences.
