Janice Grimes Johnson, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born January 20, 1948, to Albert and June Grimes of Belmont, MS. She gave her heart to Jesus at a very young age and joined Chapel Hill Church of God of Prophecy. Her faith in God sustained her though many battles with illness. She looked forward to her pre-dawn Bible study and prayer. She was a pastor’s wife until his retirement in 2012. They moved to Mooreville and became members of Union Grove Church of God of Prophecy. She loved her church family. She was a sweet, gentle lady who loved God, her daughter, and her grandchildren, her pride and joy. She enjoyed retirement and especially enjoyed reading E-books. One of the highlights of her retirement was touring Israel in 2014.
