Pauline Carpenter Downs – Obituary

Pauline Carpenter Downs of Pulaski passed away on June 19, 2017. She was born in Decatur, Alabama on September 15, 1916 and was 100 years old.
Mrs. Downs was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired as an LPN in the medical field, a devoted Christian of the Methodist Church, she was an avid reader, liked to travel, play cards and domino’s.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 21st from 11:00am until 1:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at 2:00pm in the Madison Crossroads Cemetery.
Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morris, parents, Joesph and Purney McCluskey Carpenter, and a brother, Hammod Carpenter.
She is survived by her,
Daughter, Judy (Ray) Fisk of Pulaski
Daughter, Ann Lang of Toney, Alabama
4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren also survive
