Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Edna Frances Weinman Dawson, 89, will be Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Rev. Walter Blackman officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Dawson died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at The Beacon Assisted Living in Gulf Breeze, Florida. She was born August 17, 1927, in Morgan County to Edward Albes Weinman and Eva Christine Thompson Weinman.
Edna was employed by Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL from May 1957 until September 1981 as an Administrative Officer. She loved working in her yard, caring for her flowers and she enjoyed sewing. Edna really enjoyed her church and sunday school class. After she retired, she and her husband: Leon traveled on several Christian Missions helping build other churches. She was preceded in death by her husband: Rev. Leon Dawson, her parents and three brothers: John Max, Jimmy and Van Weinman.
