Aubrey O. Lammons, 84, of Huntsville, went to be with the Lord Monday. He was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and The Gideons International. He was a graduate of the University of Alabama and Alabama School of Law. During his career, he served as an assistant U.S. attorney, the District Attorney of Madison County pro-tem, and also, as a Special Assistant Attorney General of Alabama. He served his city as a City Planning Commissioner for eight years. He also served his profession as President of Lawyer Referral and Information Services, and as President of the Huntsville Madison County Bar Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Ann Lammons.
Survivors include daughters, Karen Hinshaw (Johnny) and Kelli Conover
(John); sons, Keith Lammons (Debbie), Kevin Lammons (Kari), and Kerry Lammons; sister, Evelyn Mansfield (Don); grandchildren, Matthew Hinshaw (Emily), John Hinshaw, Lydia Overman (Marshall), David Hinshaw (Dominique), Joshua Lammons (Paige), Zackary Lammons (Tonya), Lucy Lammons, Henry Lammons, Abigail Winter Conover, and Anna Conover; and great-grandchildren, whom he adored, Jackson Lammons, Quinn Lammons, Grady Lammons, Kinsey Lammons and Olivia Hinshaw. He dearly loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 with Pastor Wilson Shirley of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. His sons, Keith, Kevin and Kerry; sons-in-law, Johnny and John; and grandson, Joshua Lammons, will serve as his pallbearers.
