James Timothy “Tim” Colvert, age 61 of Dora, went home to his Lord on Friday June 9, 2017. He was born April 29, 1956.
Tim was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church. He retired after 36 years of service with Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) as Chief Bridge Inspector for the 3rd Division. He also served as Deputy Chief of the Bagley Volunteer Fire Department. His hobbies included camping with his family and woodworking in his shop.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janice Colvert; two sons, Allen Colvert (Wendy) of Parrish, and Ken Colvert (Amy) of Dora; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren; father, Willie Colvert (Pat) of Daphne; and brother Danny Colvert (Ginger) of Empire.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Annette Colvert and brother, John David Colvert.
The family invites you to join them for a celebration of his life at Bethel Baptist Church (7000 Bethel Rd Dora, Al 35062) on Monday June 12, 2017. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with services to follow. Interment will be in the New Horizon Memorial Gardens. No graveside service will be held.
