Ralph Delano Chappell, age 83, of Phil Campbell, passed away on Thursday, June 08, 2017 at his residence.
The visitation will be 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Spry Memorial Chapel in Russellville, Alabama. The service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Steve Chappell speaking. Burial will be at Blue Springs Cemetery in Phil Campbell, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Posey Chappell; parents, Fred & Martha (Carpenter) Chappell; brothers, Fred Chappell, Jr., Kenneth Chappell, Donald Chappell, Bobby Chappell, and Gene Autry Byrd.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Ralph Stanley “Stan” Chappell, Steven Anthony “Tony” Chappell, Michael O’dell Chappell (wife, Mitzi); grandchildren, Adam John Chappell, Gabriel Ryan, Amy Lynn; step-granddaughter, Shawnee Tillmon; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Jack Chappell (Cleveland, OH), Raymond Chappell (Aragon, GA); several nieces & nephews.
