William Allen “Billy” Gowan, Sr of Pulaski passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2017. He was born in Pulaski on June 25, 1938 and was 78 years old.
Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was an employee of Frank’s Vending for 37plus years. He was a member of First Baptist Church, and in the National Guard.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on June 24th at 1:00pm at First Baptist Church in Pulaski
Memorial donations are suggested to First Baptist Church CB Building fund, 408 South First Street, Pulaski, Tennessee 38478 or Compassus Hospice, 726 N. Locust Ave, Suite B, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee 38464.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Mary Alice Griggs Gowan, brother, Bryom Gowan and two sisters, Peggy Hendrix and Beverly Carver.
He is survived by his,
Wife of 55 years, Fay Long Gowan of Pulaski
Son, Allen (Karen ) Gowan of Pulaski
Son, Robert Gowan of Nashville
Son, Andy (Kim) Gowan of Pulaski
Grandchildren, Tres, Adison, Andrew, Elizabeth, Catherine, Will, and Grace
Great-Grandchildren, Jayden and McKinley
Sister, Geraldine Collins of Pulaski
Sister, Jo Ann (Joe) Fly of Pulaski
Sister, Faye Payne of Pulaski
Sister, Brownie (Terry) Malone of Murfreesboro
Brother, Glenn (Wanda) Gowan of Pulaski
Brother, Jackie (Joyce) Gowan of Rogersville
Several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends also survive.
