Sylvan Watts Cole – Obituary

Sylvan Watts Cole, 72, of Russellville, AL passed away Friday, April 21, 2017 at his home. A native of Russellville and resident for most of his life, Mr. Cole was a financial advisor and retired from Wells Fargo Advisors after 29 years of service. A 1962 graduate of Russellville High School, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Auburn University in Business Administration. He was a long time member of the First United Methodist Church, Russellville.
Visitation for Mr. Cole will be Monday, April 24, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 noon at the First United Methodist Church, Russellville. A memorial service will follow at noon with Bo Lloyd and Clint Busler officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men’s Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cole is survived by his wife Constance “Connie” Cole and children: Kelly Cole (Kim), Bryan Cole (Mickie), Sulesza Gallagher (Joe), Tyler Green (Deidrea) and Justin Green (Charlotte). Seven grandchildren also survive him: Tirey and Hannah Cole, Jace and Rowe Gallagher, and Dawson, Abby, and Brilynn Green. A sister, Arlina Moss, also survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylvan and Lurline Watts Cole and a sister, Lorene Searcy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church projects or your favorite charity.
