Emogene Wilson Sandlin age 93 of Sumiton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday April 10, 2017 at her residence. She was a member of Sumiton Church of God, a member of the Sumiton Library Board, and was retired from Foodland in Sumiton.
Funeral services will be Wednesday April 12, 2017 at 2:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. John Foles will officiate. Burial will follow in McCormack Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:30-2 pm at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tom Sandlin and her granddaughter, Jennifer Ingram.
Survivors include her children, David Sandlin (Teresa), Tim Sandlin (Luis Garcia) and Karen Rhodes; grandchildren, Greg Sandlin (Jeannie), Brian Sandlin (Trisha), Allison Gower (Aaron), Amy Riley (John) and Emily Kyser (Brian); eight great grandchildren; special caregiver, Charlene Smith; many other relatives and a host of friends.
