John Lowell Harlan, 73, of Muscle Shoals, died Saturday, April 1, 2017. A private family memorial service is planned.
John was a lifelong resident of Muscle Shoals. He was a retired quality control manager with Reynolds Metals Company and was a member of Magnolia Church of Christ and the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beverly Harlan; son, John Wesley Harlan II (Amy) of Loganville, Georgia; daughter, Lori Woolfolk (Jerry) of Sheffield; grandchildren, Allyson Harlan Vidil (Tony), Hannah Maples, Garrett Harlan, and Jacob Ross Maples; great-grandchildren, Sophie Alice Richard and Kaitlin Vidil; brother, Charles Harlan (Gloria); and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family expresses special thanks to Dr. Heaton, Will Burhans, and the staff of the Heart Health Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Magnolia Church of Christ Children’s Ministry.
