Funeral service for Gwinn A. Mason, 92, will be Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Eva United Methodist Church with Rev. William Stone and Elder Josh Mason officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will be in Eva Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Mason died on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born December 14, 1924, in Morgan County to Virgil Mason and Lola Maxwell Mason, who preceded him in death. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in World War II. He also was employed by the Morgan County School System as a Coach and Principal prior to his retirement. Mr. Mason was a member of the Eva United Methodist Church .
