Ennis “Ray” Waits, 89, of Moulton passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, at Lawrence Medical Center. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at Lawrence Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 30, 2017, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Tony Pepper officiating. Burial will be in Moulton Memory Gardens.
Mr. Waits was a member of Jones Chapel Congregational Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Waits of Moulton and Michael Ray Waits and his wife, June of Bowling Green, Kentucky; daughter, Lennette Steele and her husband, James D. of Speake; brother, James Lamar Waits of Priceville; four sisters, Doris Gore, Polly Nelson, Helen McBride and Betty Allen; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Waits was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Heflin Waits; his parents, James Anderson Waits and Ida Woodard Waits; five brothers and three sisters.
Pallbearers will be Greg Nelson, Stanley McMahan, Charles Maness, Roland Heflin, Mark Heflin and Tim Stutts.
