He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Ernest E. Crooms and June Crooms. He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Crooms of St. Petersburg, Florida; stepbrother, Donald Green of Hanceville; stepmother, Gwen Crooms of Hanceville; and niece, Linda Crooms Morgan of St. Louis, Missouri.
