FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement regarding the arrest of one suspect in an early morning Domestic Dispute where shots were fired, Saturday, March 25:
“Florence Man Arrested Following Domestic Altercation; Derrick D. Turnley, 40, of Florence was arrested this morning following a domestic altercation in the 1800 block of Maple Ave.
Responding officers were alerted to the situation after multiple shots were fired in the area of the home. Officers arrived to find that Turnley and his son had been involved in an altercation leading to the shots being fired.
No one was injured in the incident, however, officer found multiple rounds had struck and entered adjacent occupied homes.
Turnley is charged with 2 counts of Shooting Into An Occupied Dwelling, Domestic Violence 3rd (reckless endangerment), and Domestic Violence 3rd (Harassment). He is currently in the LCDC with a bond totaling $42,000 dollars.”
