Betty Nicholson, age 79, of the Pebble Community passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017. She had worked at Haleyville Textile, attended Posey Mill Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, March 27, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Haleyville, Alabama. Funeral service will be at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Bro. Kerry Smith and Bro. Rayburn Whitman officiating. Burial will follow in Ephesus Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Nicholson; daughters Debra (Tony) Southern and Ginger (Mike) Potter; sister, Sheila Richie; brother, Billy Gravitt; grandchildren; Leah (Kenny) Dean, Kyle (Dana) Southern, Amy Southern, Mandi (Paul) Williams and Josh (Sherri) Potter; great grandchildren; Samuel, Katherine, Will, Kylie, Laine, Kaylee and Connor; Earl’s brothers and sisters, Alton Nicholson, Clinton Nicholson, Jerry Nicholson, Terry Nicholson, Dorothy Sewell, Margaret Crane and Sue Poore.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J.Q. and Katherine Brown Gravitt; sisters, Mary Garrison and Linda Beck; brother, Bobby Gravitt; Earl’s deceased brothers and sisters, Vernon Nicholson, Lowell Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, Idell Rogers, Juanita Tidwell and Inez Alexander.
