Richard Calvin Dean Retired/Colonel, age 81 of Huntsville passed away while vacationing in Hawaii on Tues., Mar. 14, 2017.
Mr. Dean is survived by his wife, Etta Dean; two daughters, Karla Romanczuk (Chris), Tara Pinelli (Richard); two grandsons, Richard Pinelli and Christopher Romanczuk; sister, Karen Leonard; and brother, Leslie Dean (Jeanee); and a host of other loving family and friends.
Mr. Dean retired as a Colonel from the U.S. Army after 29 years of service. He was a graduate of West Point, class of 1957 and received his Masters at the University of Arizona. He received a teaching degree at UAH and was head of the Magnet Program at Lee High School.
Graveside for Mr. Dean will be Thurs., March 30, 2017, at 3:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
