Sydney Claire Alford, 16, returned to God who created her on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at North Miss. Medical Center after a sudden illness. Born in Boise, Idaho on April 20, 2000, Sydney was blessed with wonderful parents, Mike Alford and Sonia Wall Alford and her beloved twin sister, Lyndsey Grace Alford. Sydney was a junior at Tupelo High School where she was an excellent student and active in school activities including the honor roll. She loved music and excelled in the THS Band, including the honors band, where she was 1st chair bass clarinetist. She joined her many friends recently in performing in Washington, D. C. at the Inauguration of President Donald Trump. Sydney was a guitarist, a member of the Symphonic Band and the Indoor Drum line at THS. A quiet young woman, she was a gentle spirit, intelligent and an exempliary teenage role model for her contemporaries. A black belt in karate, she loved attending the Orchard Methodist Church and participating in all its activities. Sydney loved all God’s creation, the outdoors and nature and was an animal lover. She left us all too soon – for this world was not meant for one as beautiful as she.
