HUNTSVILLE-The Madison County Sheriff’s Office released a statement concerning the execution of a search warrant resulting in the arrest of one man on Thursday, March 9:
“Sheriff Dorning announced today that The Department of Homeland Security and the Madison county Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Executive Dr. Huntsville Alabama. The search warrant was executed without incident. Located in the residence was Herman Oscar Watkins W/M, born on 09/28/58. After the residence was secured, a search for child pornography was conducted. There were multiple images found on electronic devices in the residence. These images were of children under the age of 10. All of the devices were seized and will be analyzed. Watkins was transported to the MCSO Criminal Investigation Division office and interviewed. At the conclusion of the interview, he was arrested and placed in the Main Facility. He was charged with 3 counts of Possession of Child Pornography. The total bond for the charges is 60,000 dollars.
Herman Oscar Watkins was arrested on probable cause by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and is presumed innocent until determined otherwise by the judicial system.”
