Jewel Stapp Bullough, age 89, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, surrounded by family at her daughter’s home in Lake Butler, Florida. A private family service honoring Mrs. Bullough was held in Lake Butler.
Mrs. Bullough was born in Darrouzett, Texas. She earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Utah where she also met the love of her life, Vaughn. Jewel and Vaughn relocated to Florence, Alabama in 1954. She was a truly loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Jewel was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Dr. Vaughn Lynn Bullough, and her son, Bruce Lynn Bullough.
Survivors are her sons, James Steven Bullough (Linda), of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Roger Dale Bullough, of Nashville, Tennessee; and daughter, Barbara Bullough Riherd (Thomas), of Lake Butler, Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.
